News, Reviews and Prices

RiverBeds opened on 20th December, 2015.  From a beginning with two lodges (each with their private veranda out above the river), two more lodges were added in March 2016 and then two more in June 2016.  A further two are planned for January 2017.

Of the 6 riverside lodges at present, 5 have their own private hot tub.

In creating these amazing wee hotels in their sensational, riverside setting, the ambition has been to re-invent hospitality and to do things differently. Providing luxury and style in a modern, informal way : just as we think you might want it.

The response from our guests has been so positive and delightful; we are really grateful to those who leave feedback on sites such as TripAdvisor:

“Fantastic and tranquil”
5 of 5 starsWonderful stay, helpful staff. Beautiful setting looking onto river. Feels very private. Pods finished to very high spec, mood lighting brilliant. Hot tub perfect, glass of bubbly looking up through the trees at the stars, breathtaking. Fantastic meal also at the Loch Leven hotel. One night not enough!! Very relaxing. Will definitely be back!
“Magical!”
5 of 5 starsMy husband had to come for work, but I am delighted that I joined him! We arrived late at night and were met by the most magical sight! All the Wee lodges were twinkling with lighted walkways, inviting us to come in and explore. Nestled in the trees along the river, the setting was tranquil and relaxing. Inside, our lodge was incredible! Every detail had been seen to including a great selection of breakfast foods, detailed instructions, and even spray to keep the midges away! The coloured ambient lighting in the pod and the amazing hot tub on the deck were the icing on the cake taking our stay from wonderful to absolutely enchanting!
“Relaxing Riverbeds”
5 of 5 starsThis is the perfect base to enjoy the Glencoe area. The lodge is comfortable and clean. Staff is friendly, proposed activities are enjoyable and food in the club house is good. The segway experience is good fun! The area is very quiet and dog friendly.
 “Amazing!”
We sadly only had one night in the lovely lodge and our stay was just perfect. The jaccuzzi is a nice extra and the staff was very nice 🙂 It’s perfect for couples that want their privacy and like it small and cuddly.

“So many lovely, thoughtful touches in these wee lodges”
4 of 5 stars I wasn’t sure what to expect when we booked a wee lodge, as they are pretty expensive and (clue’s in the title) very small. Within 5 minutes of having arrived I was thrilled we’d chosen to stay in one of these fab little self-contained units. The owners must have spent literally ages thinking about decking the pods out – I’d never have believed you could fit so much into such a compact space. They start to feel quite big once you realise everything that’s in them. Brilliant. There were all the gadgets you could want – wall mounted TV above the bed, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, fridge – and lots of snacks. We tucked into croissants with jam, cereal, porridge, yoghurts etc. There was lots of humour in the various little notes left in the pod – we giggled aloud at the instructions for how to open the porthole round window, which included having someone on hand with a camera to record your efforts. The pods were quiet, felt secluded and ours had a hot tub. My 6’5″ partner was comfortable in the bed, and we both slept well. Fun, funky and more than a little thought provoking in terms of how to maximise space utilisation!
“We’ll be back! :)”
We stayed here for the night on the day of our wedding, which was Friday, we would of liked to stay longer but all the pods were fully booked on the dates we were looking for (I can see why) so we took the one night that was available. The pods have everything you need, from microwave, toaster, kettle, tassimo, fridge right down to cutlery & everything in between. They have a bathroom/wet room similar to a caravan. Right on the river too, which is nice. Decking around the pod each with its own private hot tub, the pods are closer together than we thought they’d be, which we weren’t too impressed about to begin with, but the privacy is actually ok, as the hot tubs are hidden by pod, ours was at least, we were in pod 1. Check in & out is a breeze. Towels are provided, we had 1 each, would have been better if we had 2 each for the night as we used them getting in and out the hot tub, we had brought our own anyway so we had use of dry ones for a shower, the hot tubs are a good size for 2 and are all ready to go for you arriving, all you have to do is remove the cover and hit the jets button. We would definitely stay here again, but it would be better to book for at least 2 nights as 1 night is just not enough 🙂 communication from staff was great too, wish I had taken more photos but I was too busy enjoying the place.
